The Dead Girls Dance by Rachel Caine

3.5 out of 5 Stars!

Boys. I'd turn gay if they weren't so sexy.

Any book that was going to follow Sempre had it's work cut out but I think that this book did ok. It was great to have the gang back even if it was a more broken gang then we are used to. I enjoyed the book and the story line and all the characters but there just seemed to be something missing this time. It didn't hold my attention as much as Glass Houses did. It did pick up about half way through though and the ending was pretty great. Can't wait to read the next one in the series.

This book picked up right where Glass Houses finished with Michael dead on the ground and Shane's dad declaring that he is there to take down all of the vampires. This is a major problem considering that the gang have only just been spared their lives provided that there is no more drama with the vamps. Shane's dad is determined though and when he isn't beating up his son he is making plans on just how he is going to rid Morganville of all their vampires. The gang is feeling rather defeated when an old friend comes back and lifts the mood a little. Shane's dad isn't their only problem, a vampire has been found dead and one of their own is being held responsible for it. The gang have two days before one of their own is due to be burned alive and they have no idea where to start.
