I Am Not A Serial Killer by Dan Wells

3.5 out of 5 Stars!

Fear is about things that you can't control. The future or the dark, or someone trying to kill you. You don't get scared of yourself because you always know what you're going to do.

So I needed a break from all the New Adult books and what better way to do that then by reading I Am Not A Serial Killer. As soon as I read what this book was about it had me interested and I couldn't wait to get a look inside the mind of John Wayne Cleaver. What a twisted and fascinating mind John had. This book had me from the start and I can't even put into words what I was thinking and feeling while reading this. I know quite a bit about serial killers so the interesting little bits of information that were thrown into the book kinda felt like home to me. I normally like a bit of paranormal reading but I don't know I think this story would have worked a lot better without the whole demonic monster thing.

John Wayne Cleaver is not your normal 15 year old. He is a mortician and he has also been clinically diagnosed with sociopathy. John has an interesting hobby, he lives and breathes death, he is fascinated by it and is doing everything he can to stop himself from becoming a serial killer. Then a murdered body is found behind the laundromat with it's innards ripped out and chucked to the side. This murder is only the beginning of a killing spree where many people are killed and not all are found. John witnesses one of the murders first hand and what he discovers shocks him. With all the murders going on John is also finding it more and more difficult to keep to the rules that he has set in place to stop himself from becoming what he fears is destined. John has all the knowledge and attributes to be a terrifying and formidable serial killer, the big question being is that what he will become.

Wait For You by J Lynn

3.5 out of 5 Stars!

My brain was telling me this was a bad idea and I told my brain to shut the fuck up, because it rarely told me anything helpful.

J Lynn/Jennifer L Armentrout is one of those author's where I must have the book as soon as it is released. Her writing is incredible and she is the master of creating very likable and amazingly hot characters. From the very first few pages J Lynn once again sucks you in and makes it so that you don't want to put the book down. In no time at all I found myself playing the good old one more chapter game, I just couldn't get enough of this book and the characters. It's so great when the heroine has some great sidekicks and Jacob and Brittany were definitely great sidekicks. Although this book wasn't at the "Lux Series" level of awesomeness it was still a fantastic book that kept you interested until the very end.

Five years ago something happened that changed Avery Morgansten's life dramatically. She has moved thousands of miles away to a college where she can get a fresh start at life and move on from the demons of her past. Someone doesn't want her to move on though and she is continuously getting hurtful and threatening messages and emails. Her first day at college she runs head on into the hottest guy she has ever seen and to make matters more embarrassing she then runs away from him at full speed. Avery needs to get a grip and stop letting her past frighten her but that is easier said then done especially with those message's constantly coming through.

Luckily she finds some great friends in Jacob and Brittany and then there is Cameron Hamilton. Cam is that oh so hot, big bad boy that we all know and love and want for ourselves. Cam is very interested in getting to know Avery better and although she is not immune to his incredible hotness she can't bring herself to trust someone like him. Cam reminds her way too much of someone from her past and before she can truly give Cam a go she will need to learn to deal with what happened five years ago. This is ok for Cam though because he knows what he wants and he isn't giving up without a fight, he has all the time in the world to wait for Avery.

Never Too Far by Abbi Glines

3 out of 5 Stars!

If you try to go anywhere I will chase you down. I will become your shadow.

Ok so where should we start with this. My reaction before reading this was me dancing around the lounge room doing my happy, happy dance. My reaction after reading this was shocked, disappointed and just a general meh feeling. This is an Abbi Glines book so of course it was great but there were some major problems with this one. The first being that I nearly broke my tablet a couple of times, thankfully I settled for slamming it on the lounge and walking away time and time again. Blaire was annoying as all hell and I was continuously rolling my eyes while also getting ready to throw punches. This book was saved by Woods and Grant and I would love to read a book about either of those two.

Blaire is still trying to piece together her shattered heart after she found out the secret about her family and the fact that Rush knew all along. The worst is still to come though when Blaire finds out that she is pregnant with Rush's baby. Blaire doesn't know what to do when Bethy visits her asking her to come back to Rosemary and move in with her. Blaire resists at first but a late night misunderstanding see's Blaire back in Rosemary with Bethy and the next morning Bethy figures out that Blaire is pregnant. Blaire will stay with Bethy in Rosemary for now until she figures out what she is going to do next. The one thing she does know though is that she won't be going back to Sumit and she won't be staying in Rosemary permanently either.

Rush is also shattered, he would give anything to have Blaire back but know's that this isn't going to happen. There have been no parties since Blaire left, Rush isn't talking to his mum and he is barely tolerating Nan. The only person he has had around him is Grant and even he is starting to get a little annoying. Then he gets a text message from Bethy late one night and everything changes. Blaire is back in Rosemary and will be staying for a few months. Rush see's this as his big opportunity to win Blaire back and get her to stay in Rosemary with him forever.
